"Lagos" hosts African football stars

The Confederation of African Football has set the date for its annual awards ceremony for 2026, which will take place on Monday, December 7, in Lagos, Nigeria.

The announcement of the ceremony date came after a meeting of the Confederation's executive committee, which approved a series of decisions regarding the federation's competitions and programs for the coming years.

The CAF Awards ceremony is considered one of the most significant annual events for the Confederation, celebrating the best players, coaches, national teams, and clubs of the year.

Nigeria will also host the ordinary general assembly of the Confederation on November 21, as part of CAF's scheduled events in the near future.
