Although Luca Zidane is absent from the national team gathering due to a suspension, he remains Algeria's first-choice goalkeeper until further notice.

Since his transfer to Leganes this summer, he has shown promising performances with three clean sheets in his first three matches. However, he conceded two goals yesterday against Granada, after already letting in two the previous week against Tenerife.

In the match against his former teammates, Zidane and his team quickly took the lead by scoring two goals within the first seven minutes, before the visitors reduced the deficit in the 16th minute.

From a cross extended by a Leganes player, the opposing defender found himself in a position to volley, and the Algerian goalkeeper attempted to deflect it, but the ball ended up at the feet of Miguel, who scored an own goal.

Less than ten minutes later, Zidane made a crucial save by coming out like a handball goalkeeper against the Granada striker who was alone in front of him, just before another player hit the left post.

At the start of the second half, striker Alejandro Marqués managed to beat Zidane with a header, and this time the Algerian's intervention was more questionable (51st), especially regarding aerial challenges.

After being saved by his crossbar, Luca made a second decisive save in the 82nd minute, closing his angle after a breakthrough from Rodelas. Ultimately, Leganes managed to score a third goal to win 3-2.
