The Competitions Committee of the Football Association has referred the events of the Tanta vs. Al-Nasr match to the Disciplinary Committee.

The Competitions Committee of the Egyptian Football Association decided during its tenth meeting on September 21 to suspend Amir Arabi Rifai, the goalkeeper coach of Al Nasr, and refer him to the Disciplinary Committee. This decision follows the events that occurred during the match between Tanta and Al Nasr, held on September 17 at Tanta Stadium, as part of the Second Division "A" league.

The committee also decided to refer the incidents of the match to the Disciplinary Committee for appropriate action, based on the match observer's report, which included details and accompanying images related to the events.

Al Nasr condemns the events of the Tanta match in the Professional League and demands accountability for those at fault

The Board of Directors of Al Nasr Club, led by engineer Hisham Qattab, condemned the unfortunate events that took place at Tanta Stadium following the match between Al Nasr and Tanta, which was held on Thursday afternoon at Al Nasr Stadium in Heliopolis as part of the fifth round of the Professional League.

Al Nasr stated in an official statement: At the end of the match, Tanta players, supported by some members of the technical and administrative staff, attacked Al Nasr players and their technical and administrative staff without justification. Had it not been for the intervention of the police, the consequences could have been severe, as Tanta players exhibited violent behavior and attempted to assault Al Nasr players in a scene far from sportsmanship.

Al Nasr expressed its astonishment at the behavior of Tanta's technical staff and players, despite their victory in the match through a controversial penalty (according to Al Nasr's statement). Al Nasr concluded its statement by calling on the Competitions Committee and referees to hold accountable those who were at fault and the aggressors.
