The Egypt national futsal team departs today, Friday, for Algeria to play two friendly matches against the Algerian team on September 21 and 23 in Tlemcen. This is part of their intensive preparation program for the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco from October 12 to 21.

The coaching staff, led by Nader Rashad, announced the preliminary squad for the training camp, which includes 18 players. The head coach will then finalize the list to 14 players for the trip to Algeria.

The highly anticipated edition of the continental tournament in Morocco will follow the new system adopted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), making the 2026 edition an independent continental championship that will not serve as a qualifier for the World Cup.

The delegation's technical, administrative, and medical staff includes Nader Rashad as head coach, Al-Mu'taz Billah Sami as general coach, Ayman Abdel Rahman Ragab as goalkeeper coach, Nour Eddine Farhan Ali as administrator, Dr. Mustafa Mohamed Ahmed Hasnine as team doctor, Walid Hassan Nassar as rehabilitation and massage specialist, and Hosni Nasr Hussein as logistics officer.
