Officials from the Egyptian Football Association have stated that the chances for Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan to reduce their imposed penalties are high after submitting their appeal within the specified timeframe. The officials mentioned that FIFA might also lighten the punishment imposed on Zico, similar to what happened with Saafan El-Sagheer, whose ban was reduced from two matches to one.
The officials added that FIFA could reduce the Hassan twins' ban to two matches instead of three, and Zico's punishment to three matches instead of five.
Timing of Egypt and Malawi Matches in Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers
The Egypt national team will face Malawi on November 13 and 17 in the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The matches will take place after the start of winter time in Egypt, which begins on Friday, October 30.
According to winter time, the third round match between Egypt and Malawi will kick off at 9:00 PM Cairo time at Cairo Stadium.
The fourth round match between the two teams, which will be held in Malawi, will start at 3:00 PM Cairo time, as the time in Egypt will coincide with Malawi after the implementation of winter time, meaning there will be no time difference between the two countries.
