"The Lions" complete their preparations to face Lesotho

The Moroccan national team completed its preparations today for the match against Lesotho, which will take place tomorrow as part of the second round of Group A in the African qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

The "Atlas Lions" held their final training session at the "Toyota" Stadium in Bloemfontein, starting at 3 PM local time and lasting for 1 hour and 15 minutes, with all players present.

The coaching staff dedicated this final training session to fine-tuning the technical and tactical aspects and ensuring the players' readiness before the anticipated match against Lesotho.

The national team enters this match after starting its qualifying campaign with a 2-0 victory over Gabon, while Lesotho suffered a defeat against Niger, losing 2-1.

Coach Mohamed Wahbi emphasized during the press conference prior to the match the importance of approaching this encounter seriously and avoiding complacency, stating that weather conditions and the quality of the pitch should not be considered excuses, and that players must focus on their performance and deliver their best while respecting the opponent.

Wahbi also noted that all players participated in training except for Nayef Aguerd, who continued his recovery protocol at the Mohammed VI Football Complex and did not travel with the team to South Africa.
