The sixth edition of the Cairo Capital Cup 2026-2027 kicks off on October 8, featuring intense matchups between 20 teams divided into 4 groups, with each group containing 5 clubs.
The first round of the group stage includes 8 matches over two days, Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9, while 4 teams will have a bye in the first round.

Al Masry enters the tournament as the defending champion after securing a significant victory over Enppi with a score of 3-0 in the final match held at Suez Stadium last season.
Three clubs have succeeded in winning the Cairo Capital Cup (formerly known as the League Cup), with Modern Sport claiming the title in the inaugural edition in 2022, followed by Ceramica dominating the tournament with titles in 2023, 2024, and 2025 consecutively. Al Masry became the third club to win the Cairo Capital Cup after their victory last season.
Ali Maher, the former coach of Modern Sport, is the first coach to win the title with his previous team in the inaugural edition. He was followed by Ayman El Ramady, who won with Ceramica in the second and third editions of the tournament. Ali Maher returned to claim the fourth title with Ceramica, while Emad Nassar secured the fifth title with Al Masry.
