Amr Salah, the head of the organizing committee for the World Handball Club Championship "Super Globe," announced that the opening ceremony will take place on September 25, before the match between Al Ahly and the winner of the clash between Veszprém and the University of Sydney.
Egypt will host the World Handball Club Championship - Egypt 2026 for the third consecutive time, in its nineteenth edition, which will be held in the New Capital at the Club Hall from September 24 to October 1, organized by the United Sports Company.
Largest Participation in the History of the Championship
This edition features the largest number of participants in the history of the World Handball Club Championships, with 10 clubs representing various continents, including the Egyptian hosts Al Ahly, the defending champions FC Barcelona, the Kuwaiti representative Al Burqan, the Moroccan representative Forum Derb Sultan, the German representative Fox Berlin, the Brazilian representative Pinheiros, the American representative Los Angeles, the Australian representative Sydney, the Hungarian representative Veszprém (special invitation), and the Egyptian representative Zamalek (special invitation).
The United Sports Company also announced the championship logo, continuing the success achieved in the previous two editions, with the slogan "Egypt Welcomes the World... From the Continents to the New Capital."
