The youth national team continues its preparations to face Libya in the opening of the North African qualifiers.
Today, Sunday, our national team for the 2007 age group, under the leadership of coach Wael Riad, continued its training camp in Ismailia in preparation for the upcoming match against Libya on Thursday. This match marks the beginning of their journey in the North African qualifiers for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, which will take place in Egypt.
The youth team conducted its training session at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium, where the atmosphere was serious and competitive among the players.
The coaching staff, led by Wael Riad, intensified technical and psychological lectures to prepare the players for a strong performance in the opening of the North African tournament.
Egypt vs. Libya in the North African Tournament
For his part, Wael Riad emphasized that the opening match for Egypt against their Libyan counterparts is of great importance, and that all matches for the team will carry the same significance, treating each encounter as a special tournament.
The youth team's coach explained to the Pharaohs players that hosting the tournament in Egypt, along with the presence of Egyptian fans, will be a strong motivation to surpass the qualifiers and qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Wael Riad praised the support provided by the Board of Directors of the Football Association and the technical management of the federation for the youth team's journey, aiming to achieve the desired goal of qualifying for the African tournament.
