Transfer Market: A decisive winter looms for Boudaoui

The future of Hicham Boudaoui at OGC Nice could take a new turn this winter. While the Algerian midfielder had already attracted several interests during the last transfer window, a new opportunity is emerging internationally.
The upcoming winter transfer window could be crucial for Hicham Boudaoui. At 27 years old, the Algerian international continues to capture the attention of various European clubs, while his situation at OGC Nice might prompt the Nice management to seriously consider his departure in the coming months.
According to information from Transferfeed, Olympiacos has expressed tangible interest in the midfielder. The Greek club has reportedly already contacted the player's entourage to assess the conditions for a potential arrival in Piraeus.
This new lead emerges as Boudaoui was already on the verge of leaving Nice during the last summer transfer window. The Algerian particularly caught the attention of Al-Ittihad, while AS Monaco also showed significant interest in his profile. The transfer ultimately could not materialize, mainly due to the financial demands of the Côte d'Azur club.
This time, the situation could evolve. Boudaoui's contract with Nice is valid until June 2027, and the French management might be encouraged to take advantage of the winter transfer window to secure a fee, rather than risk a decrease in his value as he approaches the final year of his contract.
Nice has set the price for their midfielder at around 5 million euros, a sum that could still be subject to negotiations with Olympiacos.
Arriving in Nice in 2019, Boudaoui has accumulated 208 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists. With his 36 caps for the national team, his experience represents an additional asset for Olympiacos, which could now intensify its efforts.
