Transfer market: A move is taking shape for Khacef

Naoufel Khacef's departure from CR Belouizdad is becoming increasingly imminent. The Algerian left-back is attracting significant interest from Ahly Benghazi, who want to bring him to Libya and have decided to take action to secure his services.
According to circulating information, the Libyan club is ready to activate the release clause stipulated in the player's contract, set at 1 million euros. This amount would allow Ahly Benghazi to avoid negotiations with Chabab and acquire the defender's services directly, as his contract still extends for several more seasons.
However, the situation has taken a turn in recent hours. Khacef has reportedly been sidelined by CRB's sporting director, Djaber Naamoune, as discussions regarding his future continue. This is a strong signal indicating that this matter is now in a crucial phase.
For his part, the player seems attracted by the idea of embarking on a new adventure abroad. Discussions with Ahly Benghazi have reportedly progressed quickly, especially after the tangible interest shown by the Libyan club.
For CRB, this departure would represent a significant sporting loss. Arriving at the club in January 2024 from Gaziantep, Khacef has gradually established himself as one of the best left-backs in the Algerian league. His performances have also allowed him to return to the national team.
Chabab will therefore need to prepare quickly for his potential departure, especially as the team is involved on multiple fronts this season. If nothing changes, Khacef could leave CRB after nearly three years wearing the Belouizdad colors.
