The Algeria U20 national team, under the guidance of its new coach Hocine El Orfi, is set to participate in the qualifying tournament for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations during this FIFA date in September.

After a brief stint under Brahim Hemdani, who is now in charge of the senior team, the U20 selection has gone through a period of instability in recent months following the departure of Rezik Nedder to Le Havre as an assistant coach.

Thus, former international Hocine El Orfi, who served as an assistant to the last two coaches and also won the Mediterranean Games with the U21s this summer, will take on the upcoming mission.

Regarding the squad, there are few notable changes, except for the promotion of Rennes forward Mohamed Valmy (16 years old), and the arrival of Lens winger Mohamed Seddik. Also noteworthy is the return of Oussam Benkou, transferred from Akbou to Saint-Etienne, along with the presence of key players like Sellami.

Additionally, there are six players who won the JM in Taranto such as Izem, Tarzout, and Abdelaziz. However, there is the absence of several attacking players based in England, including Zaid Betteka and Jalil Conteh, as well as Kefren Ali from Nice.
