Yasser Ibrahim's situation regarding Al Ahly's trip to Uganda

Yasser Ibrahim, Al Ahly's defender, will miss the team's trip to Uganda to face Kitarra in the first leg of the CAF Champions League Round of 32. The player will remain in Cairo to serve a continental suspension and continue his rehabilitation program to recover from injury.

Suspension and Injury Prevent Yasser from Traveling to Uganda

Yasser Ibrahim's absence from the Ugandan match is due to a two-match suspension imposed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and a fine of $5,000, stemming from incidents during the previous season's quarter-final match between Al Ahly and Esperance de Tunis.

The penalty was issued for what the disciplinary committee deemed behavior inconsistent with the principles of sportsmanship and the regulations governing continental competitions, according to Wael Gomaa, Al Ahly's football director.

At the same time, Yasser Ibrahim continues his treatment and rehabilitation program in Cairo to recover from his injury, preparing for a return to team training. His participation in upcoming matches will be determined based on his response to treatment and the medical staff's assessment of his condition.

Al Ahly is preparing to travel to Uganda to face Kitarra in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round, before hosting the return match in Cairo, aiming to secure qualification for the next stage and continue their journey in the continental tournament.
