Zamalek suffers a 2-1 defeat against Eastern Company ENPPI in a friendly match.

The friendly match between Zamalek and Eastern Company ended today, Sunday, at Petro Sport Stadium, with Eastern Company winning 2-1.

Ahmed Abdel Rahim "Isho" scored for Zamalek, while Mahmoud Kahraba and Mohamed El-Nahas netted the two goals for Eastern Company.

Zamalek entered the match with a lineup that included Mohamed Sobhi, Mahmoud Bentaïg, Mahmoud Hamdi "El-Wensh," Mostafa Zennari, Omar Gaber, Ahmed Rabi, Mohamed Shahat, Abdallah El-Said, Ahmed Abdel Rahim "Isho," Ahmed Sherif, and Seif Jafar.

Kahraba puts Eastern Company ahead

Both teams exchanged control in the early minutes, and in the 9th minute, Mahmoud Kahraba scored a penalty to give Eastern Company the lead, sending the ball to the left of Mohamed Sobhi.

In the 13th minute, Mohamed El-Nahas added the second goal for the hosts after breaking free on goal. Zamalek continued to push for a goal, and in the 21st minute, Ahmed Abdel Rahim "Isho" missed a great chance to score after receiving a brilliant pass from Ahmed Sherif, shooting it wide of the post.

In the 30th minute, Ahmed Abdel Rahim "Isho" managed to score Zamalek's first goal after a solo effort, driving into Eastern Company's penalty area, dribbling past a defender, and shooting to the left of the goalkeeper.

In the 33rd minute, the post denied Zamalek an equalizer after a powerful header from Ahmed Rabi, who connected with a precise cross from Mahmoud Bentaïg from the left flank.

Zamalek intensified their attacking efforts in the remaining minutes, ending the first half with Eastern Company leading 2-1.

Second half events

At the start of the second half, Zamalek's coaching staff made substitutions, bringing in Nasser Mansi and Mohamed Awad for Seif Jafar and Mohamed Sobhi, increasing their attacking pressure. The coaching staff also introduced Mohamed Ismail and Hossam Ashraf for Mostafa Zennari and Ahmed Sherif.

In the 68th minute, Zamalek made further changes, bringing in Ahmed El-Jafali and Mohamed Wanes for Ahmed Abdel Rahim "Isho" and Abdallah El-Said, with Mr. Osama replacing Omar Gaber.

In the 79th minute, Mohamed Awad saved a header from an Eastern Company striker, and Zamalek's coaching staff substituted Ahmed Khodari for Mahmoud Bentaïg. Zamalek continued their attacking attempts to score, while Eastern Company tried to extend their lead without success, ending the match with Eastern Company winning 2-1.
