Mustafa Ziko, the Egyptian national team player, expressed his joy after the Pharaohs' impressive 5-0 victory over South Sudan in the match held at Juba National Stadium, as part of the second round of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ziko said in statements to ON Sport after the match: "I thank God for His blessings; this is a favor from God and we are satisfied."
The Egyptian player added: "I am doing what I can, and I noticed the temperature rising; we felt tired on the pitch."
Ziko continued: "Captain Hossam told us that we must win this match in response to Angola's draw, so we can qualify, and we cannot afford to lose points in two consecutive matches."
Mustafa Ziko concluded his statements by saying: "We needed to finish the camp with a big result to make up for what we missed and bring us a step closer to qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations."
Result of the Egypt vs. South Sudan Match
The Egyptian national team achieved a significant victory over their hosts South Sudan, winning 5-0 in the match that took place on Tuesday at Juba National Stadium in the second round of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2027.
Egypt opened the scoring in the 35th minute through Mustafa Ziko, and Omar Marmoush added the second goal for the Pharaohs in the 49th minute. Ibrahim Adel scored the third goal in the 76th minute, Marmoush netted the fourth goal in the 80th minute, before Hamza Abdel Karim scored the fifth goal in the 90+2 minute of the match.
