Moroccan Participation Impresses Argentinians at "Olé" Summit in Buenos Aires
Héctor Mario Aranda, Vice President of the Clarín Group and CEO of AGEA S.A., welcomed Morocco's participation in the 30th edition of the "Olé Summit 2026," held in Argentina's capital, Buenos Aires. He noted that the kingdom will play a pivotal role in the anticipated global football event in 2030.
In a statement to the press during the summit held at the "Usina del Arte," Aranda said that Morocco's presence through a dedicated pavilion at this sporting event is an opportunity to enhance the kingdom's profile, especially with its upcoming role in hosting part of the 2030 World Cup.
Aranda added that this year's "Olé Summit" coincides with the 30th anniversary of the event, expressing his happiness with Morocco's participation and noting the significant attendance from young audiences and professionals in the sports field.
He highlighted the importance of the intersection of media and sports, particularly football, in reaching wide segments of youth, emphasizing that Morocco's participation adds significant value to the summit's activities.
Moroccan Tourism Capitalizes on Football Momentum
Morocco's presence in Buenos Aires extends beyond sports, as the Moroccan National Tourist Office leverages the momentum provided by football to promote the kingdom as a tourist destination for Argentine and Latin American audiences.
The promotional strategy aims to turn the interest in the 2030 World Cup into an opportunity to explore Morocco's tourism and cultural offerings, from the historic cities of Marrakech and Fez to the Merzouga Desert, as well as the Atlantic coast in Dakhla.
This presence aligns with a continuous effort to enhance Morocco's image in global tourism markets, benefiting from the kingdom's growing influence related to sports, especially after Morocco was selected alongside Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup.
Morocco at the Heart of the "Olé" Summit Program
The "Olé Summit 2026" takes place on September 29 and 30 at "Usina del Arte" in Buenos Aires, featuring several stakeholders from sports, media, and business.
The organizers have allocated a space for Morocco in the official program through a seminar titled "Morocco and the Surge of Its Global Presence: Football, Advanced Infrastructure, and Tourism," featuring Moroccan figures, including Yasser Faris, the kingdom's ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay.
The seminar will discuss Morocco's preparations to host the 2030 World Cup, as well as major projects related to sports infrastructure, notably the Grand Hassan II Stadium, which is expected to have a capacity of around 115,000 spectators.
Morocco also participates in this event as a gold sponsor, alongside several Argentine institutions, including the Government of Buenos Aires and the province of Santa Fe.
According to the information presented during the event, Morocco's presence at the Argentine summit reflects a trend towards using football as a means to promote the kingdom, not only in the sports arena but also in tourism, investment, and enhancing Morocco's image on the international stage.
