Zola and Amr Tarek will not be with Tala'ea El Gaish in their match against ZED in the Cairo Capital Cup.
The Egyptian Army team will be without the services of duo Abdel Rahman Zola and Amr Tarek in their upcoming match against ZED, which will take place at 5 PM next Wednesday at Borg El Arab Stadium, as part of the second round of the Cairo Capital Cup.
Suspension rules out Abdel Rahman Zola
Abdel Rahman Zola, a player for the Egyptian Army, will miss the match against ZED due to suspension, having received a ban in his last game in the Cairo Capital Cup last season, which means he will be absent for his team's first match in the current edition of the tournament.
Hamstring tear sidelines Amr Tarek
Amr Tarek will also continue to be unavailable for the Egyptian Army against ZED, due to suffering from a hamstring tear, which he sustained during his team's match against Al Ahly Bank in the league. The player will remain sidelined until he recovers from the injury.
Egyptian Army aims for first victory in Cairo Capital Cup
The Egyptian Army had a bye in the first round of the Cairo Capital Cup, which includes in Group A the clubs Zamalek, ZED, Wadi Degla, Al Ittihad Alexandria, and the Egyptian Army.
In the opening round, ZED defeated Zamalek 3-0, while Wadi Degla achieved a victory over Al Ittihad Alexandria with a single goal, allowing both teams to collect their first three points in the group.
ZED tops the group standings with 3 points, tied with Wadi Degla in second place, while the Egyptian Army, Zamalek, and Al Ittihad Alexandria find themselves without points, noting that the Egyptian Army did not play their match in the first round due to the bye.
The Egyptian Army is looking to make a strong start in the tournament and collect their first three points when they face ZED, in a match where they hope to compensate for their absence in the opening round and enter the competition for qualification early.
