FUS Rabat has learned its opponent in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, as ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast secured their place in this stage after defeating ASKO Kara of Togo today.

The Ivorian team managed to clinch qualification despite trailing in the second half, after Yabouri scored the first goal for Kara in the 45th minute. However, ASEC Mimosas turned the game around in the second half, taking advantage of the opponent's reduced numbers following the red card shown to one of their players in the 51st minute. Sou Da Villa Junior scored two goals in the 59th and 68th minutes, leading his team to a 2-1 victory and securing qualification with an aggregate score of 3-2, after the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.

FUS Rabat also secured their qualification for the same round on Saturday, after drawing 0-0 against Burkina Faso's Rahimo, benefiting from a significant 4-1 victory in the first leg to ensure advancement on aggregate.

FUS Rabat is set to host ASEC Mimosas in the first leg in the city of Fes, between October 16 and 18. The decisive second leg will take place in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan, between the 23rd and 25th of the same month.
