GFA announces a selection of talented young officials for the FIFA Young Talent Course

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has chosen a cohort of talented young referees from its Catch Them Young Refereeing Initiative to take part in the upcoming FIFA Member Association (MA) Young Talent Refereeing Course later this month. This six-day event is scheduled from July 23 to 28 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram and is part of FIFA's initiative to cultivate the next generation of top match officials within its member associations. The course aims to identify and groom skilled referees for higher levels of officiating, ultimately seeking to develop officials who can achieve CAF and FIFA international accreditation. Participants will engage in rigorous training that addresses the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of contemporary refereeing. The curriculum will feature classroom instruction, hands-on exercises, fitness evaluations, match analysis, and practical training on the field. The chosen referees showcase some of the most promising officiating talents in Ghana, and their selection highlights the GFA's ongoing commitment to fostering a sustainable pipeline of match officials. The Association is confident that this programme will introduce participants to FIFA's latest officiating standards while arming them with the necessary skills to advance both nationally and internationally. The FIFA MA Young Talent Course is anticipated to further enhance Ghana's referee development framework as the GFA continues to invest in the future of football officiating.
