‘Ghana is an untapped powerhouse’ – Newly appointed Nations coach Zdravko Logarusic announces initiative for football resurgence

The newly appointed coach of Nations FC, Zdravko Logarui, holds the view that Ghana is a 'sleeping giant' in the realm of football and is eager to help tap into its potential through an ambitious initiative at the club. In his first official interview since taking the helm, the Croatian coach laid out his vision to propel Nations FC back into the Ghana Premier League and ultimately position the club as a formidable presence on the African continent. Logarui characterized Nations FC as a unique private football venture in Africa, asserting that the club has the chance to make history. "It's not common in Africa to have a private club that doesn't function like a social society. This is a pioneering project, particularly in football, and few clubs have ventured down this path. Let's take part in making history," he expressed. He emphasized the importance of conducting thorough assessments to understand the resources available for success. "First, we must properly evaluate to see what ingredients we have to create our project. Then we will determine what kind of outcome we want to achieve," he elaborated. The coach also urged his players to adopt a professional mindset and view football as a viable career. "If they need to provide for their families, then professionalism is essential. Our role as coaches is to assess fairly, assist them in their development, and drive results," he asserted. Logarui aims for Nations FC to compete with determination while showing respect towards stronger rivals, but he firmly believes that promotion is the primary goal. "Ghana is a sleeping giant. We just need to find the right way to awaken it. Let's collaborate, support one another, and create something remarkable," he concluded.
