Ghanaian teenager Hafiz Gariba seen at Barcelona's pre-season training camp.

Ghanaian teenage prodigy, Hafiz Gariba, has joined Barcelona's squad for pre-season as they gear up for the 2026/27 season. The 19-year-old made his way to the Ciutat Esportiva to meet with several first-team members alongside other youth players for their preparations. Gariba, along with his teammates and ten first-team players, underwent the standard medical examinations in anticipation of Tuesday's initial training session. The tall centre-back, who made a mark last season with the U19s in the UEFA Youth League, is expected to see first-team opportunities in the forthcoming campaign. However, he must first earn the trust of Hansi Flick for a place with the La Liga champions. Those who reported for pre-season training included Ter Stegen, Szczeseny, Balde, Christensen, Fermn, Casad, Gerard Martn, Bernal, Hctor Fort, and Roony. Additionally, the 15 players from the Barça Atlético and youth teams are Aron Yaakobishvili, Jofre, Álvaro Corts, Tommy Marqus, Orian Goren, Ebrima Tunkara, Ibrahim Diarra, Guillermo Fernández, Alex González, Shane Kluivert, Toni Fernández, Óscar Gistau, Xavi Espart, and World Cup participant with Egypt, Hamza Abdelkarim. Gariba had recently taken a brief vacation in Ghana before returning to Spain for what promises to be a significant season ahead.
