Promising Ghanaian talent Obed Ofori has signed with German Oberliga club Spvgg Erkenschwick during the summer transfer period. The forward, who honed his skills at Schalke 04, inked a one-year contract with the fifth-tier team after departing from Arminia Bielefeld II. The 19-year-old has already commenced pre-season training with Spvgg as the squad gears up for the 2026/27 season. "Obed is a thrilling player with outstanding training. He possesses physical strength, is well-acquainted with the Oberliga, and has significant potential for growth. We're thrilled he chose to join us despite other opportunities and are confident he'll be an invaluable addition to our squad," stated Spvgg's head coach, Nassir Maylar. The young star is anticipated to play a crucial role in the forthcoming season as Spvgg aims for promotion to the fourth tier. Ofori began his journey with FSV Witten before moving to Schalke 04. He subsequently joined VFL Bochum and spent the last season with Arminia Bielefeld II.
