Ghanaian youth prospect Graham Ankamafio has prolonged his contract with FC Copenhagen and will now spend time on loan at Rosengard.

Danish-born Ghanaian defender Graham Nii Ankamah Ankamafio has secured a new long-term deal with FC Copenhagen, one of Denmark's premier football clubs, before embarking on a season-long loan to FC Rosengard 1917 as part of his growth. The 18-year-old centre-back, seen as one of the club's standout defensive talents, recently participated in Copenhagen's first-team training camp in Austria, where he continued to impress the coaching staff with his performances. Following his contract extension, the young player will spend the upcoming season with Rosengard 1917 to gain crucial senior football experience and advance his development. Morten Grahn, Copenhagen's Development Director, expressed confidence in the defender's future, labeling him one of the club's most promising young players. "Graham is a tenacious and dedicated central defender with a unique and exciting physical presence," Grahn stated. "We are very happy to extend Graham’s contract, and we have collaboratively devised a solid plan for his next developmental phase." Regular playing time is key at this juncture in his career, and we anticipate witnessing his further evolution at Rosengard. Ankamafio has been part of the Copenhagen academy since joining as an Under-12 from Danish club B.93. He has consistently advanced through all youth levels, earning a reputation for his commanding presence, physical prowess, and composure in defense. The teenager also shared his joy after committing to the Danish Superliga champions. "I am immensely proud and thankful for the confidence that FC Copenhagen has shown in me with this extension," Ankamafio remarked. "I owe a huge thank you to my family and the coaches who have supported me along the way. It has taken hard work, but it’s been a remarkable journey thus far." Looking forward to his loan, the Ghanaian talent believes that gaining regular first-team action is the ideal next step in his career. "For me, it's all about getting minutes and experience at the senior level. The loan to Rosengard is an ideal opportunity and a solid foundation to return stronger and secure my position in the first team at FC Copenhagen." This move marks another significant milestone in the career of the Danish-born Ghanaian, who hopes to continue his impressive trajectory before returning to compete for a spot in Copenhagen's senior squad. His progress will also be under close observation by Ghana, as he remains eligible to represent the Black Stars at the international level in the future.
