Excluded at the start of the season due to doubts about his future, Farès Ghedjemis has made his return to the pitch with Frosinone. His coach is now expecting a decisive turning point from him.

Farès Ghedjemis has made his Serie A debut with Frosinone after several tumultuous weeks. Excluded from the team at the beginning of the season due to his desire to leave and interest from clubs such as Monaco, Besiktas, and Celtic, the Algerian international ultimately stayed in Italy after the transfer window closed. A new era now begins for the 24-year-old winger.

On Sunday, during the victory against Venezia (3-2), Ghedjemis played his first minutes of the season. Substituted in the 57th minute for Seydou Fini, the Algerian played 34 minutes and showed initiative, with two shots on target to his name. A promising first appearance after a preparation period marked by uncertainties about his future.

After the match, Massimiliano Alvini, however, wanted to maintain pressure on his player. “I am happy, today is also his birthday and we celebrated that. But he must work hard to regain his place in the team and get up to the level of the others,” warned the Frosinone coach.

The collective context could favor his return to form. After three matchdays, Frosinone is ranked 7th in Serie A with 6 points, showing a record of two wins and one loss, with six goals scored and three conceded. Ghedjemis must now prove to Alvini that he deserves a lasting place in his team.
