Mauritanian international El Hadj Ba has officially announced his retirement from football, bringing an impressive career of over 25 years to an end.
Starting at just six years old at CSL Aulnay, his professional journey took him through several prestigious European clubs, including Le Havre, Sunderland, Lens, and Sochaux, before concluding with FC Nouadhibou.
After representing France's youth teams (U18, U19, and U20), the midfielder chose to follow his heart by joining the Mauritanian national team. In his farewell message, he warmly thanked the president of the Federation, Ahmed Yahya, for his trust and the opportunity to defend the colors of the Mourabitounes.
Emotional as he hung up his boots, the player expressed deep gratitude to his family, coaches, and teammates for helping him achieve this childhood dream. He also emphasized that stepping away from the pitch does not mean the end of his connection with football, but rather the beginning of a whole new chapter.
