Mediterranean Games | Tunisia reaches the semi-finals of the football tournament

The Tunisian U21 football team secured its place in the semifinals of the Mediterranean Games on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in Taranto, Italy, finishing first in its group after defeating Turkey 2-1 in the final group stage match.

The national team's goals were scored by Rayane Anane from Étoile du Sahel in the 36th minute and by Turkish player Taha Emre, who scored an own goal in the 56th minute.

In the semifinals, Tunisia will face the team that finished second in Group B. This group is currently led by Algeria (6 points), followed by Albania (4 points), Italy (1 point), and Kosovo (0 points), ahead of today's scheduled matches.

In their first two matches of the tournament, the Eagles of Carthage, coached by Anis Boujelbene, drew against North Macedonia (0-0) and won their match against Morocco (1-0).
