Algerian player Ahmed Nadhir Ben Bouali, forward for Pyramids FC, will miss the upcoming match against Kenyan side Gor Mahia, which is set to take place at 8 PM today, Sunday, at the Air Defense Stadium, in the second leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Ben Bouali is suffering from a strain in his adductor muscle, due to a knock he sustained during his recent appearance in the league match against El Gouna, prompting the coaching staff to exclude him from the matchday squad to ensure his safety and prevent aggravation of the injury.
Pyramids FC outperformed Gor Mahia in the first leg
Pyramids FC secured a 2-0 victory over Gor Mahia in the first leg held at the Nyayo National Stadium in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and the team needs either a draw or a win of any margin to guarantee advancement to the next stage.
If the second leg ends with Gor Mahia winning 2-0, the aggregate score will be 2-2, which will lead both teams directly to a penalty shootout to determine who advances, without extra time.
