Burkinabe athlete Marthe Koala can be pleased with her 2026 season. The long jump specialist has reflected on a year filled with victories, several international podiums, and a performance of 6.77 m achieved twice.
During this season, the Burkinabe athlete triumphed in 10 competitions, including the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi, the FBK Games in Hengelo, and the meeting in Banská Bystrica. She also secured second place at the ISTAF in Berlin.
Marthe Koala also won the silver medal at the African Athletics Championships in Accra, thus finishing as the vice-champion of Africa. This adds another continental podium to an already busy season.
