Egyptian players began their journey in the qualifying round of the Qatar Classic tournament held in the Qatari capital, Doha, with 4 victories, the most notable being the win of Egyptian champion Nouran Gohar, a former world number one, who returned after nearly a year away from competition due to family circumstances.

Nouran Gohar returns to competition after nearly a year away
Nouran Gohar, the former world number one, returned to the Professional Squash Association tournaments this season after giving birth to her first child. Nouran had withdrawn from competitions last September following the 2025 Egyptian Open and later announced that she and her husband, Ziad El Sisi, were expecting their first child. Since giving birth in mid-April, Gohar has been seen on social media regaining her fitness through intensive training on the court.
