The club has indicated that the 25-year-old centre-back, of German-Ghanaian descent, is anticipated to be sidelined for approximately six weeks, a setback occurring just as pre-season gains momentum. The issue first emerged after Paderborn's friendly against Hannover 96 on Saturday, prompting Awortwie-Grant to reduce his training intensity and work separately at the beginning of the week. The recent diagnosis has now revealed that the situation is more severe than initially expected.
