"Dear Celta fans, the moment has arrived for me to say goodbye to one of the most cherished chapters of my life," he shared on Instagram. "When I first came here, I was merely a footballer with aspirations. Over time, this city, this stadium, and this jersey evolved into much more than just work: they became a home for me and my family. My youngest daughter was born here, and she will always take pride in that.
"We have experienced both joyous and challenging moments together. Throughout this journey, you have been the heartbeat that has breathed life into this club. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to you, the supporters. Not a single day did I feel isolated.
"Your unwavering support, your chants, and your enthusiasm have been a continuous source of inspiration every time I stepped onto the field.
"Together, we forged history by bringing Celta back to Europe, but the most significant prize I carry with me is your affection and the connections we've established.
"I also want to express my gratitude to my teammates, the coaching staff, the medical team, the physiotherapists, and everyone working behind the scenes who have contributed to all the unforgettable experiences we've shared both on and off the pitch.
"I feel an immense pride in having represented this prestigious club and in having defended its emblem with dignity.
"Now, I embark on a new challenge, but I want you to know that this club and this city will forever hold a unique place in my heart. I’ll continue to support you from a distance.
"Always look on the bright side of life, stay optimistic. Thank you for everything. With all my love, Pepio." The Ghanaian center-back is anticipated to reveal his next destination in the upcoming days.
