Samuel Owusu was central to Union Omaha's offensive efforts, even during a 4-3 loss to Forward Madison FC in USL League One action. The Ghanaian defender set up Josue Gomez for the opening goal and contributed significantly to a thrilling, back-and-forth match at Breese Stevens Field. Union Omaha took the lead in the 26th minute when Owusu's corner allowed Gomez to score with a powerful finish. Forward Madison quickly retaliated, but Union Omaha continued to press, with Owusu remaining a key figure from defense, helping his team stay competitive until the final moments. The second half saw the momentum shift, as Union Omaha leveled the score with a penalty from Diego Gutierrez and came close to securing a result. Owusu nearly provided a dramatic late equalizer, hitting the crossbar in the 90th minute, but Forward Madison clinched the win in stoppage time courtesy of Hakim Karamoko. Union Omaha now shifts their focus to their upcoming USL League One match against Westchester on July 19.
