The Egypt beach soccer national team is preparing to head to Alexandria for a training camp that will run from Thursday, September 17, to Tuesday, September 22. The camp will include morning and evening sessions as the team gears up to face the winner of the Angola vs. Mauritius match, aiming to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled in Senegal in 2026, which also serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup.
Beach Soccer Team Training Camp Schedule
The training camp for the beach soccer team includes two friendly matches, the first against the Alexandria team on Saturday, September 19, followed by a match against El Sharkia on Sunday, September 20. The camp will last for five days.
Ahmed Abdel Razek, head coach of the Egypt beach soccer team, confirmed that the squad is diligently preparing for the qualifying matches against the winner of Angola and Mauritius for the Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal, which is also a pathway to the World Cup.
Abdel Razek noted that the national beach soccer team features a blend of experience and youth, with a unique mix of players. He emphasized that everyone is ambitious and eager to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations and compete fiercely for the title, with the goal of reaching the World Cup next year.
The head coach also praised the Egyptian Football Association, led by Engineer Hani Abou Rida and Captain Shawky Gharib, for their significant support and ongoing assistance to the beach soccer team, aiming for a return to the podium in continental and global tournaments.
