Jawhar Nabil, the Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Atonj Kwal Manyang Jok, the Minister of Youth and Sports of South Sudan, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of youth and sports. The meeting was attended by Hani Salah, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Sudan and South Sudan, along with several leaders from both ministries and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Exchange of Sports Expertise Between Egypt and South Sudan
The meeting addressed a range of proposals and topics aimed at strengthening cooperation in the upcoming period, contributing to the exchange of experiences and practices, utilizing the available resources from both sides, and implementing more joint programs and activities in the fields of youth and sports.
Jawhar Nabil noted that sports represent a soft power that helps bring people closer together and opens new avenues for communication and cooperation. He emphasized that collaboration in the sectors of youth and sports could serve as a strong foundation for enhancing ties between the two countries.
For her part, Atonj Kwal Manyang Jok expressed her welcome for cooperation with Egypt, conveying the greetings of the Government and people of South Sudan to Egypt and its people. She expressed her country's appreciation for the distinguished relations between the two nations and her commitment to enhancing cooperation in the fields of youth and sports, as well as benefiting from Egyptian expertise and experiences.
Activating Areas of Joint Cooperation
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue coordinating and cooperating in the upcoming period, working to activate areas of joint cooperation that support the implementation of joint programs and activities, enhance the exchange of experiences and practices, and open more avenues for communication between the youth and athletes of both countries.
