U15: Ziani selected for the World Cup!

The national under-15 team is preparing to participate in the inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup and Festival 2026, which will take place in Azerbaijan from October 22 to 31, featuring various national associations as part of FIFA's Talent Development Scheme (TDS).

In anticipation of this global event, the U15 national team will hold its first training camp at the National Technical Center (CTN) in Sidi Moussa from September 10 to 13, 2026.

The coach of the U17 national team (B), Mr. Karim ZIANI, has been appointed to lead the U15 national team during this competition.

A preliminary list of 31 players has been established for this initial camp. The final list of players who will participate in this competition, which will consist of 14 members, will be determined later.

The selection of players was made under the supervision of the National Technical Director, Mr. Ali Moucer, in collaboration with the members of the National Technical Commission, and with input from the various technical staffs of the U16, U17, and U20 national teams, namely Hocine Metref, Amine Ghimouz, and Hocine El Orfi.

This selection is the result of regular monitoring and careful assessment of the players' levels during various national competitions and events organized, such as the second edition of the Young Talents Tournament, reserved for players born in 2011 and held in Oran in June 2025, as well as the third edition of the tournament “Khodr El-Moustaqbal,” intended for regional teams of the same category and also contested in Oran in March 2026.

The FIFA Festival represents a crucial step in the development process of national young talents. It will provide them with the opportunity to experience different football cultures, while also allowing them to assess their level and test their skills in a competitive international environment.
