The captain of Switzerland, Granit Xhaka, has revealed that the team is willing to give their all to defeat Argentina in the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026.
Recognizing the challenge of containing Lionel Messi, Xhaka emphasized that the Swiss side is prepared to exceed their boundaries and make historic progress toward the semi-finals.

Switzerland reached the quarter-finals following a thrilling victory over Colombia in the Round of 16 via a penalty shootout.
He asserted that the Swiss national squad is entirely ready for their quarter-final clash with Argentina.
“As for the fans, keep dreaming. I am someone who always dreams, and dreams can become a reality,” he mentioned during a pre-match press conference in Kansas City.
“To realize our dreams, we must work hard, put in the effort, and give 100 percent. Sometimes, it requires doing something different. You genuinely need to push your limits if you aim to defeat Argentina. And I firmly believe my team is prepared.”
