50 runners from the United Arab Emirates participate in the Zayed Charity Race and the Great Wall Marathon.

The organizing committee for the Zayed Charity Run, in collaboration with the Huairou District Government in the People's Republic of China, announced the completion of preparations for the Zayed Charity Run 2026 and the Huairou Great Wall Marathon, scheduled to take place on September 27 in the Huairou area of Beijing, China, for the second consecutive year.

He added: "We take pride in the growing partnership with our partners and organizers in China, and the close cooperation that has contributed to the return of the race for the second consecutive year. We look forward to the 2026 edition continuing to establish the Zayed Charity Run as a global platform that brings people together through sports, giving, and humanitarian work. We also extend our thanks to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Beijing for its ongoing support and its role in enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Emirati and Chinese sides, contributing to the success of this initiative."

This year's event enhances its humanitarian message by allocating 50 percent of the race's proceeds to support the Huairou Hospital, a step that embodies the initiative's commitment to making a tangible social impact and turning the values of giving into direct community support. This reflects the approach established by the Zayed Charity Run since its inception, based on transforming the passion for sports into a force for giving and using international partnerships to serve humanity.

As the runners set off at one of the world's most prominent historical landmarks, the Emirati participation, alongside thousands of participants from China and various countries, carries a clear message that the legacy of Sheikh Zayed in goodness and giving can cross borders, reach hearts, and create an impact that remains after the race ends.

The event attracts 15,000 participants, including 50 Emirati runners. It combines sports with humanitarian work and strengthens ties between peoples, reflecting the success of the previous edition and solidifying the position of the Zayed Charity Run in China, while continuing its global message of giving and serving communities.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Huairou District Government in Beijing, the Beijing Athletics Association, and the district's sports office, in partnership with the Zayed Charity Run, and with support from the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Beijing, along with sponsorship from several prominent Emirati companies, such as ADNOC, Al-Imad, Mubadala, and Edge.

 The program includes a main marathon of 42 kilometers and a half marathon of 21 kilometers, classified as an A1 event by the Chinese Athletics Association.

Lieutenant General (Ret.) Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi, head of the organizing committee for the Zayed Charity Run, confirmed that returning to Beijing for the second year reflects the success achieved by the previous edition and the growing confidence in the race as an international platform that integrates sports and humanitarian values.

He said: "We return to Beijing with our preparations complete for a new edition, with 15,000 participants, including 50 Emirati runners, in a scene that embodies the ability of sports to unite peoples around a goal that transcends competition. We continue through this edition to build on the success achieved last year, while the Zayed Charity Run at every stop carries the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his enduring values of helping and serving humanity, making giving an integral part of its message in every race."
