Aduana FC, a team in the Ghana Premier League, has finalized the acquisition of former Accra Lions midfielder Shawkan Mohammed as they prepare for the upcoming season. The 23-year-old arrives as a free agent after leaving the prominent Tunisian club, Club Africain. Shawkan has signed a long-term deal with the Dormaa-based team and is anticipated to play a significant part in their forthcoming football season. "Aduana Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Shawkan Mohammed on a long-term contract. The talented midfielder joins the Ogya Boys as the club works to enhance its roster ahead of the new season," the club stated. Shawkan is well-acquainted with Ghanaian football, having made 68 appearances for Accra Lions, where he netted one goal over three seasons after transferring from lower division side Koowa Naso FC in September 2021. He became a free agent in January following a mutual agreement to end his contract with the Tunisian club due to limited playing time. He initially joined Club Africain in 2024 under a three-year contract. Despite having an existing contract, both parties decided to part ways before the new season, leading the midfielder to sign with Aduana FC. Now at the Dormaa-based club, Shawkan will be eager to restore his form in the upcoming campaign.
