Mahmoud El Khatib, the chairman of Al Ahly SC, along with former stars Ahmed Shobair and Mostafa Younes, as well as former Zamalek player Mahmoud El Khawaga, paid their condolences to Ahmed Abdel Baki, the former Al Ahly star, who passed away last Tuesday.

Al Ahly SC issued an official statement mourning Ahmed Abdel Baki, the former star of the club, who passed away last Tuesday.
Al Ahly's Statement
The statement from Al Ahly SC read: "The board of directors, led by Mahmoud El Khatib, along with the executive management and sports sectors, mourns with deep sadness Ahmed Abdel Baki, former player of Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, who has passed away. We ask Allah, the Exalted, to grant the deceased His vast mercy and admit him to His spacious gardens, and to inspire his family with patience and solace. Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return."
Ahmed Fawzy Mourns Former Al Ahly Star
Ahmed Fawzy, former goalkeeper of Al Ahly, mourned Ahmed Abdel Baki, praising his role as a coach and mentor, and praying for Allah to grant him His vast mercy.
Fawzy wrote on his social media page: "Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.. Captain Ahmed Abdel Baki, our coach and mentor, is in the presence of Allah."
He added: "May Allah have mercy on him and make his good deeds and patience weigh in his favor."
