On Thursday night, Akim Zedadka experienced a significant moment in his career, participating for the first time in the group stage of the Champions League. At 31 years old, the Algerian international had the opportunity to step onto the pitch at Old Trafford, a legendary stadium, during Sabah Baku's match against Manchester United.

After navigating through four qualifying rounds with his team, where he notably contributed to the impressive European journey of the Azerbaijani side, Zedadka finally reached the long-anticipated goal. However, for this first appearance at the highest level, the script did not favor Sabah, who suffered a heavy defeat to the Mancunians (4-0).

Starting on the right side of defense, the Algerian player played 76 minutes before being substituted. Despite the clear dominance of the English side, this match will undoubtedly remain unique for him, as he heard the Champions League anthem for the first time and participated in a clash at one of the temples of European football.
