FC Porto Places Faith in Lina Al-Jamahi
Portuguese club FC Porto has announced the signing of Moroccan forward Lina Al-Jamahi, who is 18 years old, from French club Paris Saint-Germain, to strengthen the women's team in its first season in the top division.
The Portuguese club confirmed on its official website that Al-Jamahi will wear the number 19 jersey with the team, which won the second division title last season.
The young Moroccan international began her career at Lille in France, where she excelled from a young age with her ability to play in higher age categories and compete against older players.
At the age of sixteen, she moved to Paris Saint-Germain and participated in the first team's training camp in Australia before returning to the youth team, with which she won the local league title.
On the international level, Al-Jamahi has represented Morocco's youth national teams, participating in the qualifiers for the Under-17 World Cup in 2024, where she topped the scoring list with eight goals in four matches, earning her a nomination for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) award for Best Young Player of the Year.
