Norwegian team Lillestrøm has confirmed the acquisition of Nigerian talent Seun Akanji through a permanent transfer, as reported by Completesports.com.
Akanji joined Lillestrøm on a trial basis a year and a half ago, with the club securing the right to sign him once he reached the age of 18.

“I am extremely thrilled to be here. Signing with such a remarkable club means a great deal to me. This is a significant dream fulfilled, and I am prepared to give my all for the club,” he expressed on the club’s official website.
“It was thrilling to participate in a trial match previously. Now I am very happy and, above all, proud to sign a contract with LSK. I have started off well and have been warmly welcomed by both my teammates and the coaching staff.”

The skilled forward made a strong impression during his trial match as a 16-year-old, and sports director Espen Olsen is eager to monitor his growth at Lillestrøm.
“Seun made a significant impact when he was on trial as a 16-year-old in January 2025. Now he is finally ready to officially join LSK, and we are genuinely excited to help him develop further here at the club. He is an exhilarating and dynamic player with immense potential,” Olsen remarked.
