Drees Masoud Continues Steady Progress at Hungary Grand Slam

Algerian judoka Drees Masoud advanced to the third round of the Hungary Grand Slam, currently taking place in Budapest from September 11 to 13.

After defeating Dutch competitor Niels Theisen in the first round of the -73 kg category, Drees Masoud secured another victory against Hungarian Atilla Oveghesh in the second round.

The Algerian champion will face Uzbek Ilbek Tujiev in the third round, who also advanced by defeating Kazakh Yessit Kuanov.

Algeria is represented by three judokas at the Hungary Grand Slam, with Lina Maria Grieu eliminated in the first round of the -52 kg category.

Mohamed Mahdi Lili will compete in the +100 kg category tomorrow, facing Hungarian Levente Dobos.
