Idris Massoud Advances to the Second Round of the Hungary Grand Slam
Algerian judoka Idris Massoud has advanced to the second round of the Hungary Grand Slam, taking place in Budapest.
On Saturday, the gold medalist from the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games defeated Dutch competitor Niels Theisen in the first round of the under 73 kg category.
The Algerian champion will face Hungarian Attila Ofi in the second round, who also advanced after defeating Canadian Justin.
It is worth noting that Algeria is participating in the Hungary Grand Slam from September 11 to 13, with three judokas competing.
Meanwhile, Lina Maria Grieu was eliminated in the first round of the under 52 kg category, while Mohamed Mehdi Lili will enter the competition tomorrow in the +100 kg category against Hungarian Levente Hondobush.
