The Ghanaian Football Association announces the cancellation of the friendly match with Morocco.

The Ghana Football Association has settled the debate regarding the upcoming friendly match between the Moroccan national team and their Ghanaian counterparts, confirming the cancellation of the fixture scheduled for this Sunday at the Grand Stadium in Tangier.

To verify the matter, Hesport contacted Henry Asante, the communications director at the Ghana Football Association, who stated that the match will not take place, explaining that the Ghanaian side had informed the Royal Moroccan Football Federation of the cancellation decision.

Asante only confirmed the cancellation of the encounter and thanked the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for their understanding, but did not disclose the reasons behind this decision.

Hesport had previously indicated that the Ghana Football Association apologized to their Moroccan counterparts for not proceeding with the match due to an internal crisis concerning the financial entitlements of the Ghanaian players.

According to information from Hesport, the financial dispute between the association and the players complicated the Ghanaian national team's preparations for the match, as several players refused to travel to Morocco, casting significant doubt on the participation of the "Black Stars" in the game.

In light of these circumstances, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation began efforts to find a replacement for the Ghanaian team to ensure a friendly match takes place as scheduled, maintaining the preparation program for the "Atlas Lions" ahead of upcoming competitions.

Compounding the situation, Ghana suffered a surprising defeat today, Tuesday, against Gambia, losing four goals to two in the qualifiers for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, while the "Atlas Lions" secured a victory over Lesotho with a score of two-nil.
