AFC CL: Ounas in great form with Al Gharafa! (video)

Arriving at Al-Gharafa in early September, Adam Ounas is gradually regaining his rhythm and confidence. In the match against Esteghlal, the Algerian international was not decisive, but showcased his technical skills.
Long seen as a player capable of flashes of brilliance while having quieter periods, Adam Ounas seems to be finding some consistency since joining Al-Gharafa in early September. At 29 years old, and after playing for ten professional clubs, the winger, who has 27 caps for Algeria, is starting to settle in alongside Yacine Brahimi.
He had recently shown effectiveness. Ounas found the net during the 4-2 victory against Al Mesaimeer in the QSL Cup, before providing an assist to Ferjani Sassi against Al-Wakrah a few days later. These two key actions highlight his gradual return to his best form.
In the match against Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League, the Algerian did not score or provide an assist, but he rediscovered what made him strong: breaks, provocations, changes of pace, and dribbles down his right flank. Very active, he relentlessly sought duels and even created a clear chance at the end of the first half, which was saved by the Iranian goalkeeper.
Al-Gharafa ultimately lost 2-1, despite Sassi's equalizer shortly after halftime. A collectively frustrating defeat, but another promising match for Ounas, who seems to finally be regaining confidence, rhythm, and especially that ability to make a difference with the ball at his feet.
