Al Ahli Saudi FC exited the Club World Cup after losing 1-2 to South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday in the second round of the tournament.
Sundowns will face the winner of the match between the South American champions 'CONMEBOL' and Mexican club Toluca, the CONCACAF champion, with the winner set to meet Paris Saint-Germain, the UEFA Champions League titleholder.
Mamelodi Sundowns claimed the title of champions of Asia, Africa, and the Pacific in the main tournament 'Intercontinental', launched by FIFA two years ago as a replacement for the Club World Cup, which is now held every four years like the World Cup for national teams, with an increased number of participants.
Portuguese player Nuno Santos scored both goals for Sundowns in the 17th and 80th minutes, while Al Ahli's only goal came in the 19th minute, an own goal by the Sundowns goalkeeper.
