Al-Arjoun listens to the concerns of the referees

Al-Arjoun Listens to Referees' Concerns
In his first steps after taking over as the national technical director of refereeing, Abdel Rahim Al-Arjoun welcomed a group of international referees, elite referees, and national referees. They had previously requested a meeting with former technical director Ridouane Jaid, but the change in management prevented that meeting from taking place on time. Now, they met with the new director who decided to welcome them as part of a communicative initiative reflecting his desire to start a new chapter with various members of the refereeing family.
Hesport learned from a reliable source that the meeting was characterized by a welcoming and open atmosphere, as Al-Arjoun was keen to listen to the referees' issues and understand the dissatisfaction stemming from some recent decisions, particularly regarding the latest rankings and classifications. He expressed his discontent with how this process was conducted, indicating that he was surprised by some aspects of it.
In his speech, the new national technical director urged the referees to move past the challenges of the previous period and look to the future with a positive spirit. He emphasized the need for hard work and performance improvement to restore their rightful place as soon as possible, stressing that the upcoming phase requires unifying efforts and focusing on competence and contribution.
For their part, the attending referees expressed their admiration for the new director's approach and the positive spirit he demonstrated, along with his willingness to communicate and listen to various opinions. They expressed hope that this step would mark the beginning of a new phase characterized by fairness, equal opportunities, and restoring the dignity of refereeing competencies.
They also confirmed their readiness to exert more effort and work on improving their level to meet the expectations of the new national technical director and contribute to enhancing the national refereeing system.
This meeting was attended by national technical director Abdel Rahim Al-Arjoun, along with new technical administration members Youssef Mabrouk and Suleiman Mohammed.
This gathering serves as an initial signal of the new technical administration's direction towards adopting a policy of communication and openness, listening to the referees' expectations, with the aim of building a new phase based on trust, work, and fairness, benefiting the national refereeing system.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation appointed Al-Arjoun last Friday as the head of the refereeing technical directorate, succeeding Ridouane Jaid, as part of the changes in the technical structure of Moroccan refereeing.
Meanwhile, Jaid has transitioned to a role in referee training after completing his duties at the helm of the directorate, beginning a new phase within the national refereeing system.
