Raphinha renews his contract with FC Barcelona

Brazilian international Raphinha has reached an agreement to extend his contract with Spanish club FC Barcelona, keeping him with the team until 2030.

Barcelona announced on Thursday the renewal of their striker and top scorer, whose previous contract was set to expire in 2028.

The 29-year-old Raphinha has emerged as one of the stars of world football since joining Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022, contributing to the team's three La Liga titles, including the last two, and has shown impressive performance in attack.

Raphinha is having an exceptional season as he has transitioned to playing as a center forward, scoring 19 goals in 13 matches across all competitions, including 15 goals in La Liga, making him the top scorer.
