Algeria: Elyaz Zidane remains open to all options

Internationally, Elyaz Zidane has not yet decided on his future with the national team. When asked about a possible integration with the Greens, the Red Star defender preferred to keep the mystery.

The situation is even more delicate as his journey with the national team has so far been with France. Zinédine's son has worn the Blue jersey in four youth categories: U17, U18, U19, and U20. However, his brother Luca has chosen to represent Algeria, which inevitably raises questions: Will Elyaz follow in his older brother's footsteps?

When asked about this in an interview with Parisien, he chose not to comment: “Growing up in this environment and witnessing great finals with my father, we dream of experiencing those emotions. At 20, anything is possible. I refuse to put pressure on myself and prefer to focus on the pitch. My only current goal is to give my best for Red Star, to improve, and to help my team win. The future remains to be written.”

A thoughtful response that leaves all options open and maintains the suspense. For now, the young defender chooses to focus on his club and his development, even if it means delaying a decision that, sooner or later, will have to be made.
